16:9 Widescreen Support |

Before 16:9 ratio widescreen gaming became common, Perfect World's players are already able to enjoy gaming using this new display ratio for greater visual enjoyment.
Research on widescreen enabling Perfect World was started three years ago. At that time, the game developers felt that the 16:9 widescreen display ratio was able to give players a better visual sensation compared to traditional 4:3 displays. During that period, no other online game was able to achieve that kind of display ratio. Those games that were claiming to support the 16:9 widescreen format were actually utilizing 4:3 ratio displays and putting message boxes in the black region at the top and bottom of the screen thus simulating widescreen.
While Perfect World was developed with 16:9 ratio widescreen displays in mind, it still works perfectly with other systems at the same time as guaranteeing greater visual effects when run on ‘real’ 16:9 ratio high-resolution displays.
- 16:9 ratio displays provides players with absolute visual comfort. Widescreen pictures are more pleasing aesthetically, being closer to the way the human eye views the world around us.
- 16:9 ratio displays adopts the player’s angle of view and thus bring more satisfaction to the players. This sense of realism is enhanced during PK as the human eye can more easily roam within the picture frame to capture finer details.
